Mission: Making life easier for people with intimate healthcare needs

Coloplast develops products and services to make life easier for people with deeply personal and private medical conditions. These conditions are often associated with trauma and taboo. The more intimate the condition, the greater the requirement to come closer to customers, understand their world and develop solutions that are sensitive to their special needs. We call this Intimate Healthcare.

Closeness to all customers makes this possible. We listen to better understand needs, and respond by finding new ways to do things better together. We lead the way by bringing the best ideas first and fast to market in the form of medical devices and service solutions.

Deeply private and personal medical conditions are our focus. Our passion to make a real difference to people’s lives is what drives and unites us. Our culture supports high ambitions, and releases the full potential of our own people to achieve them.

We welcome the broader responsibility that comes with leadership - a responsibility to the environment, to society, to our shareholders, and to act with integrity in all we do.

Vision: Setting the global standard for listening and responding

Coloplast was built on the fundamental ability to listen and respond. Nurse Elise Sørensen listened to her sister’s concerns, she understood her needs, and responded by inventing the world’s first disposable ostomy bag. An invention that has made life easier for thousands of people. Ever since, listening and responding has been an integral part of all we do. Only by listening, can we understand the world of our consumers and act accordingly by developing the right products and services. Over decades, we have gained invaluable knowledge through working directly with healthcare professionals and the people who use our products.

We will be a trusted guide for consumers in a world of information overload – and a stronger partner with clinicians who are the experts in caring and healing. At Coloplast, we strive to be a greater resource for everyone by setting the global standard for listening and responding.

Ostomy Care Our portfolio offers a range of innovative bags that make the consumers feel secure and confident. Our wide and global offering also ensures that there is a product to meet the individual needs and we help with customized solutions for different body shapes and needs. To make life easier for people living with a stoma, we listen carefully to consumers and healthcare specialists to improve existing products and develop new ones that make a real difference in their lives. Our Ostomy Care products

Continence Care Our continence product range addresses two types of issues: not being able to empty the bladder or bowel, and leakage of urine and faeces. When researching and developing new concepts, we aim to create products that are easy to carry, apply and remove. The design must be as discreet as possible – with intuitive handling, minimal noise and odour – so that consumers feel at ease, no matter where they are and what they are doing. Our Continence Care products

Wound Care Our advanced dressings are simple to apply and remove and always provide a close comfortable fit – many of our dressings are tailored to the body contours. Our dressings do more than manage difficult wounds, they also support healing. To help fight infection and reduce pain, we use active ingredients in several of our dressings. We want patients with non-healing wounds to be free of pain and discomfort. Our Wound Care products

About us

Söring has been developing innovative medical technology “Made in Germany” for various surgical disciplines for over 30 years. The family-run business, founded and still located in Quickborn (near Hamburg), utilizes extensive experience in Ultrasound, a dedicated in-house R&D Team and close clinical collaborations for new solutions to support clinicians in their daily clinical practice.

Söring UAW (Ultrasonic-Assisted Wound Debridement) ensures quick and safe wound cleansing as a measure of wound bed preparation. It effectively disrupts biofilms and selectively removes non-viable tissue, while protecting healthy tissue. Sequential debridement with UAW can weaken bacterial ability to rebuild biofilms.
